ALVIRAL (Fumigation and Hygiene)
An innovative disinfecting bactericide and virucide

A disinfectant for animal housing, transport cages, and breeding equipment for domestic animals. Alviral is a registered virucide with an efficacy of 0.5 % after 30 minutes of surface contact (based on the standard NFT 72-180).

Alviral demonstrated efficacy on the following viruses:

  MAFF* LDA 22
Foot and Mouth disease 0.1 %
Swine vesicular disease 0.35 %
Newcastle disease 0.35 % 0.5 %
Gumboro disease 0.35 %
Rinderpest 0.35 %
Classical swine fever   0.5 %
Atrophic rhinitis   0.2 %
Canine infectious hepatitis virus   0.5 %
Infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus   0.5 %
* MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Great Britain)

Due to its unique composition, Alviral is able to regenerate its primary active ingredient: chlorine. Once the chlorine is in the solution, it is trapped and released only in the presence of bacteria. This cycle continues in a chain reaction. This mode of action allows for residual activity in a prepared solution, which is able to remain stable throughout a seven day period.

Alviral is a registered bactericide with an efficacy of 1.5 % after 5 minutes of surface contact. After 30 minutes of surface contact, Alviral is efficient up to 1 % (based on the standard NFT 72-300)*.

It is recommended to use a spray solution of 1 % and leave it on the surface for 30 minutes.

Based on the standard NFT 72-300, which allows 30 minutes of surface contact, Alviral was efficient at 4 degrees Celcius on four registered bacteria.

Alviral has a very low toxicity on mammals and aquatic organisms and it is biodegradable thereby respecting the environment.

Composition Instructions for use
  • Potassium monopersulfate
  • Troclosene
  • Sulfamic acid
  • Sirfacton
  • Sanction number DIN 02265745 law on PCP products
  • Spray: Dilute 10 g of Alviral per liter of lukewarm water. Apply 200 to 400 ml of the diluted solution per square meter to disinfect (on average, 300 ml disinfecting solution at 1 % per square meter, or 3 g per square meter).
  • Foam sprayer: To calculate the amount of disinfectant needed: 3 g per square meter to treat. Dilute 200 g of Alviral in 1 liter of lukewarm water. Add 60 ml of ALVIMOUSS per liter in the foam sprayer reservoir. Mix well.
  • Precautions: Dilute the powder in water (if water in the powder, it will not spray out of the equipment). Do not use more than 200 g per liter of water.
